Medrio Partners with Adaptive Clinical Systems to Broaden eClinical Integration Offerings

To meet their complex integration needs, organizations conducting clinical trials now have more options to enable interoperability.

Medrio, an eClinical software as a service (SaaS) company providing cloud-based EDC, eSource, and ePRO tools for clinical trials, has partnered with Adaptive Clinical Systems, a provider of cloud-hosted services that offer true interoperability, to further expand integration options between the Medrio platform and other eClinical systems. Organizations can now integrate Medrio’s solutions with a wide array of systems through Adaptive Clinical®’s validated iPaaS (interoperability Platform as a Service) Adaptive eClinical Bus®, as well as through Medrio’s existing proprietary APIs. The resulting interoperability accelerates clinical processes through the elimination of manual data transfer between systems and reduced study timelines.

The partnership creates more flexibility for Medrio users looking to transfer data between systems. The Adaptive eClinical Bus® enables any organization, including those with limited infrastructure, to seamlessly integrate Medrio EDC and eSource with a third-party CTMS, medical imaging system, or other eClinical solution. “The Adaptive eClinical Bus® broadens our integration offerings to our customers,” commented Fred Martin, Vice President of Product and Engineering at Medrio. “Our native APIs have already served a diverse array of integration needs in clinical trials of all types. Thanks to our new partnership, organizations are better able to take the approach to integration most aligned with their needs, priorities, and capabilitie

“Early Phase studies are critical to the success of any novel drug’s introduction,” added Sina Adibi, CEO and President of Ada

ptive Clinical Systems. “By enhancing the power of Medrio’s EDC, ePRO and eSource through increased interoperability, we are excited to enable our clients to further accelerate and improve the quality of their data collection during those critical studies.”s.”

Software integration has become an essential capability in clinical research. With a single clinical trial today often utilizing a multitude of eClinical systems, organizations that use manual double data entry to transfer data between systems make their data increasingly vulnerable to transcription error and put their studies at risk of delay. By automating this process, integration enables organizations to better ensure data quality and keep study timelines down.
